I just gave them a call. I has a Ramline stock, fair bore on an after market barrel and all the other parts are Springfield. The reciever has the green tint to it (good) but some pitting, left front, above the wood line. Asking around $578, without the stock $500. I offered $450 less the stock, and they said no. If someone else out there really needs a H&R reciever for that price, have at it. Epps are good people to deal with, by the way...

They had that same receiver with the original shot out barrel last year for $150. Someone bought it, "built it up [sic]" and now wants dumb money for it IMHO. It's still just a $150 receiver with maybe $200 (max) worth of SA parts and a useless ATI stock.

Just my humble opinion, but wait till the consignee realizes he's pedling trash on a decent receiver and lowers the price accordingly.

I just got a PM from someone that has handled this rifle, it sounds like I made the right move and passed it. It has major pitting on the reciever below the wood line as well..... YIKKS!!!! Some days it's good, just to say no!!
