ER Shaw 10/22 Barrels

Is there anyone out there running an ER Shaw barrel for their 10/22 who can give a review of it? I'm tempted to order one for the price but online reviews are few and far between (and somewhat mixed).

I suspect that I will end up with a bunch of advice to buy a Kidd or Dlask barrel instead.

I have one on my 10/22, I think it is 11.5 inches long, I had no problems with it and the accuracy is good, I always shoot it at close ranges with a red dot so I can't really coment on long range accuracy. I haven't had any issues with the barrel itself, I bought it because it is short and made the gun a little lighter. I think I bought it about 20 years ago, round count is pretty high, tens of thousands, the reciever, bolt and trigger group is all Ruger original.
 
I have a 10.5” SHAW on my 10/22 but haven’t used it yet. Once I get a muzzle device on it I’ll let you know, as it will be my small game and paper puncher. it is a REALLY nice looking barrel, I hope it shoots half as good as it looks! Keep you updated.

Where did you get your barel from. I am looking for this length of one and can’t find one

I’ve seen your ads looking, and a few other guys looking. I was in the right place at the right time I guess. You can order from Shaw website. They are in stock.
I originally wanted a 12.5” but they are hard to come by also.

I looked at Shaws website but it doesn’t look like they ship to canada
 
I have a Shaw 9.3x62 barrel mounted on a Mauser rifle. The bore is cut very clean and smooth, it's in the white but the exterior didn't need any additional polishing before bluing. For a lower priced barrel they make decent stuff.
I went Green Mountain way back when I replaced my 10/22 barrel, it's been a gem.
 
Contact Gerry on here from MYSTIC PRECISION a sire sponsor and skilled shooter/rifle builder. He sells McGowan barrels which are on par with anything out there. I have a fluted stainless match barrel in 17 MACH2 thats scary accurate. He stands behind what he sells! just my opinion. Best of luck but Id stay away from GM
 
I have a Shaw 10.5" I got from Nine35
It shoots pretty good. Before swapping the scope for a red dot it was fun getting triple taps at 200m, last shot leaves the barrel before first shot hit's the steel.

Update……. My 10” Shaw barrel works great! Eats CCI and HV ammo no problem. Very accurate. Obviously it’s louder being so short, but it’s so fast to aim. Highly recommended. F06F9E5F-4BC5-4C17-ADDC-58C100EA6EE7.jpg
