Erma Kar.98k .22lr conversion kits??

Information about these kits is very difficult to find on the web. My copy of "Backbone of the Wehrmacht" also has very little information. If anyone has any experience with these kits that would be very helpful.

I have one one these kits. What do you need to know? Go here http://www.germanmanuals.com/manuals.html and about two thirds to three quarters down the page look for "Insert Barrel 24 (.22 cal. Kit to convert the 98k) and Shooting Range Guide". As they say, "when all else fails read the manual.". I have not shoot mine that much but when I have it has functioned just like it is suppose to function.

Mainly I'm looking for what the value of these kits is. Also what kind of magazine do they use? Are any other mags compatible with the kit?

No idea. But I'd say a pretty penny or "too rare to price". I would love one and I have the perfect rifle for it. A pitted Kar98 I picked up for $160!
