So I finished one of my EM1 22's . What do you think ?
Original rifle

First I acquired several NOS in the orig packing grease Type 3 barrel bands , with Bayonet Lugs .
Then an original 1960 M1 carbine bayonet.
Also added the ventilated metal heat shield (still have the wood hand guard).

It looks nice butt did that solve the jamming characteristics?

I have 2 of them .
The one pictured came from "weimajack" I believe he still has some posted in the EE .
When I got it & tested it out it would not feed & constantly jammed .
After reading lots of good info on various web sites I totally disassembled the action to check on cleanliness as this is a primary cause according to what I read .
To my surprise the internals were clean & all parts looked in great shape .
Reassembled & tried it out again , still jamming
Next I disassembled the mag . I didn't like the looks of the spring . I swapped out the coil spring with one I had loose in a parts bin .
Took the gun out again & it never missed a beat .
The second gun I got at a gun show & never had any issue with it .
They both work great even swapped the mags from gun to gun (one is a 10 rnd & the other a 15 rnd) No issues .
I like them better than any of my 1022's ;)
