I picked up one of these ERMA-WERKE E M1 22 ( ex-military trainer) from weimajack last year .
Finally took it out today to try and put some rounds through it .
Well this thing will not cycle one round without jamming , stove piping or failing to pick next up round .
I did find a good web site on these http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_EM8.html
I did a detailed strip & clean as recommended on that site .

I noticed that all the parts had very little signs of wear or use and was not dirty at all.
I suspect it is a magazine problem . Has anyone had any luck tweaking their mag to get it to function ?
Also has anyone had any luck with the new aftermarket 15 rnd mags ?
Only tried Win Super X 22 38 gr copper plated HP 1280 FPS so far .
Now that I know it's clean inside & out I'll try it again with some different brands of ammo

Well if anyone is interested & has one of these .
The problem with mine was a twisted & weak mag spring .
Replaced the spring & tried CCI mini mag's & had 0 malfunctions in 100 rnds .

Mine was doing the same. Dissansembled, cleaned parts with cleaner, oiled and work like charms.
