Hello Just a quick question to the knowledgeable. I’m getting my M1 together for the fist time and I’ve had these clips for a long time. Just making sure this headstamp is the regular ball 3006. Thanks
 
You might want to reload your clip so the top cartridge is on the right side of the clip.

The early Garands would eject the clip and some cartridges if loaded in the manner shown in your picture.

The US military went through a couple of different ammo configurations in the lifespan of the Garand, so what you mean by "regular ball" is ambiguous. I believe that LC 69 stuff was all M2 ball intended for sale to the Mexican government. M2 was used by the US services as a peacetime service and training ammo in the Garand, so the rifle certainly should function with it just fine.

That problem was resolved over 80 years ago, I don't think he needs to worry about it.
