ESS Chassis

Hey TAC21, in another post you mentioned the ESS chassis being available for the Savage LA CIP? Would this likely fit the Savage 110 FCP in 338 Lapua that uses the 3.850" Accurate mags?

Yes, the Savage CIP version will be modelled for the 110 338 Lapua Magnum rifles using 3.850" magazines. It will be a limited run but the demand has shown to exist.

We will also be producing 3.850 CIP 338LM magazines very soon.

Excellent! Any guess as to when we might see this version of the ESS? Preferably with a folding stock option ;)

This is awesome I really like the looks and upgrades! I was for a minute thinking of selling my lss-xl with skeleton lite until I realise that my setup weighs about 3 lbs and that this with a short tube is about 4.2. I realize that the majority of the weight diffrence is in thumb knob to adjust the stock, So I was wondering if you are concidering a skeleton lite-ish stock for this?

But I want to had that this stock looks AWSOME! Also in the pictures on you site it looks dark blue am I seeing wright , cause I looks awsome in that dark blue.

What length forend is this?

Remington started shipping this week!
Savage, Tikka, Howa, if you have ordered already is a couple more weeks out.

If you haven't ordered yet, you are missing out and should get one on order right now :)

I ordered mine shortly after returning from SHOT Show, where I was able to fondle and drool over the ESS first-hand. I am now exercising incredible self-control coupled with the patience of Job in awaiting delivery. C'mon, MDT - Edmonton isn't that far from Chilliwack!!

I've only seen pictures.

I'm waiting for that tracking # and then I'm gonna camp out on my door step. :p

One of these with a long hand guard and 16" barrel would look pretty sweet! Now I just need a 16" barrel rifle that will fit, don't suppose you will be making one for the ruger American ranch rifle they just brought out? One in 450BM would looks pretty in there.

^x2 any chance of the Ruger American Ranch having an ESS Chassis available for it?

Prefer the ESS's trigger position in relation to the grip better as compared to the LSS. Saying that can the ESS rear stock be swapped out for something different? Is there plans to offer the option of rear stocks like the LSS uses at a later point (buffer tube style and folding too)? As it might reduce the weight (even if just slightly w/o folding option at least), lower the price (sell ESS Chassis w/o rear stock & grip...) while offering more stock options; making for what could be the ultimate chassis IMHO.

Also I'd definitely order an ESS in the Sniper Grey if available.

Regardless keep up the good work and innovative products MDT, you're a Canadian Co. we can all be proud of.

Cheers D
