essentials of yote hunting-what to pack?

calls(extra batteries if electronic), sticks or bipod, obviously a gun of some sort with some ammo, a chair, a rope to drag the downed dog to the truck, a knife if you plan on skinnin' him up right away. An important aspect to consider when predator hunting is trying to eliminate all smells. Cover scent, odorless deoderant, and clothes that have been washed in odorless soap. Primos has a wide selection of odorless products. you might also want to consider a small decoy and bring a friend to help with spotting. Other than that its like Hunting anything else...Have fun, good luck, and enjoy. Who knows you might even get lucky.
Make sure that you're sticks are adjustable. I carry different lengths of bipods with me so that I can adapt from prone to standing if need be.
I NEVER go anywhere without my binos, and, as mentioned, a buddy to watch the other 180 degrees.

If you plan on skinning him right away be sure to pack rubber gloves, a garbage bag and a can of raid... these buggers carry ticks that can end up in some not so pleasant places if you handle them wrong.... I usually give the whole yote to a trapper but on the one I kept I skinned it and put the hide in the garbage bag and sprayed raid in and closed the bag to kill all parasites....

on my person/partner - camelback, usually around 20 rounds of ammo - depending on rifle, mouth call, roborabbit, electronic call, bi-pod, ROPE. do not forget ROPE. should not be twine, but a sturdy length of rope depending on the walk you have. Sling, get a good comfortable sling as well. I love my BFG medic on my hunting rifles actually, great for all ways of carry, easily adjustable.

My son and I use a small stakeable low blind we can roll out & sit behind. Gives us cover for a bit of movement repositioning and stretching our legs out. Seems to work good for us and has made a difference as we've had dogs come in while we were moving our legs behind the blind. Harris swivel bi pod for shooting over our low blind while sitting. Also small waterproof pads to sit on, actually green rain ponchos still in their packages. A bit of padding and a dry spot to sit. We need an upgrade in that department but we are ready for rain, lol
