Estate sale purchase armi renato gamba 2400$ price check (many pics) authentic?

Hi there, I recently acquired this ARMI RENATO GAMBA SPA GARDONE VT ITALY and do not know the value, the original owner claims he purchased this gun for $2400 back in the 1980s? is this a bunch off bull***t????? what do these retail for??? is this a decent shotgun or some fancy looking fall apart, over under knockoff with nice markings lol!!! any info would be sooo helpful thanks!!!!

I'm sure the gentleman is telling the truth about what he originally paid for the gun. Renato Gamba is a good maker. Like all makers, they produce a variety of models and grades. Judging only from the pictures, yours appears to be a field grade in excellent condition.
