i have to sell an estate collection of 4 pistols. I need to know the values of each before I put on EE. They are presently being tansfered to me.T here is a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag with a 10 inch barrel. A Colt Woodsman with a 5 inch barrel. A very nice prohibited Colt 32 Vest semi auto is also there. Somehow, they registered as 32-20 Colt revolver with a 127 mm barrel as prohibited. It has ivory grips and the original wood grips.

Thank you

The woodsman was never made in a 5 in, unless it was a special order or something, 4 1/2 and 6 inch round slim barrel, or the slab sided one - Match target?
A 32 acp pocket is a 1903 M , also 380 is 1908 M , vest pocket model is also a 1908, but in 25 auto.
Yes pictures. There is a HUGE price spread on these depending on condition, poor shape , and lots of the 32's can be beat to death, 100.oo; But a exc one can be 4-500.
These are all 12-6 as well, so your market is very limited., the 32-20 is different been a SSA id in good- VG shape.I think one sold on the last Ward's auction, but never kept track of the price.
Never had a 32-20 for some strange reason ( cost?)

32-20 Is a prohibited handgun cartridge. I am in the same boat in regards to one of my colts. - dan

I have one of the 32-20 Colt Army and I have a Ins. value on it of $400.00 and the 32 designation is what makes it 12-6. The ammo is not prohibited as it was designed for the 1892 Winchester

I think what Dan B meant to say is "any handgun in 32 caliber is prohibited", even though the 32-20 is a rifle cartridge, it's a 32... so prohibited, regardless of barrel length and antiquity.
You might check to see what year it was made (serial number on the Colt website will tell you) since you could export to the USA (antique there, none of the usual nonsense applies, you'll just need a dealer to receive) and de-register here. In the USA, pre-1899 is antique, regardless of caliber, and if it's nice and a Colt, and antique, it will be worth a lot more there and will travel easily.

The ammo is not really prohibited, just the handguns that use it. anyone can buy .32, with a pal. Gunzik beat me to it.

You might want to check if any of the prohibs are inheritable as 12(7).

While it doesn't apply in this situation, antique handguns in 32 aren't necessarily prohib, some are considered antiques:
"7 A handgun manufactured before 1898 that is capable of discharging centre-fire cartridges, other than a handgun designed or adapted to discharge 32 Short Colt, 32 Long Colt, 32 Smith and Wesson, 32 Smith and Wesson Long, 32-20 Winchester, 38 Smith and Wesson, 38 Short Colt, 38 Long Colt, 38-40 Winchester, 44-40 Winchester, or 45 Colt cartridges."
