Just stumbled on to the Eugene Stoner tapes on YouTube I have just watched one of them so far but found it fascinating . Anyone else watched them ? Also is there any firearm available to purchase in Canada that resembles Ar’s or M19’s it’s likely not ?

In the States someone copied the famous and origional AR10. They were a nice rifle for 308. Light EASY TO POINT, CLEAN AND HAD A TITATIAM BOLT GROUP.

The original AR-10 dutch contract models were under 7lbs. I think thats the repo's hes referring to.

So lighter bolt, furniture and barrel.

There is a cool video of him and Kalashnikov trying out each other's platforms. Both men were a bit confused at the manual of arms for each other's platform and ran the guns weirdly. It is interesting to watch.

I know kalashnikov died just a few years ago. Is Stoner still alive? Unlikely, he would have had some age when he invented them, in I believe 1958.
