Any recommendations on a traditional European Hunting rifle? I know about the Sako's and the CZ made ones. Are there any other brand that don't cost a fortune? Preferably less the $2,900 Thanks!

Beretta, dumoulin herstal, merkel, sauer, fabarm, anschutz.......just to name a few off the top of my head.

That is a beautiful rifle, are you happy with it?

Yessir, it's very well made, fit and finish is great, mags are pretty unique and work great, shoots quite accurately and the trigger is quite nice. Well within your budget at $999-$1149 at Coastal Outdoors, check them out online.

Define Traditional Hunting Rifle?
Combination guns or European straight pull rifles, Drillings??
Sauer has an entry level Rifle for close to what your looking to drop and then there is Blaser and then the money gets disposable soon after that.
Check out MD Charlton (distributor) a site sponsor for whats available through them and then there are the retailers who carry various brands .

Siiiigh, some of the sweetest rifles on the market, unfortunately extremely limited availability in North America ...

A Sauer 90 would be close if you can get one. Not made anymore.

For a very limited 'collection', I've acquired three in the calibres shown on the cover of the old Norma reloading manual. They were, apparently, a co-operative effort between Schultz & Larsen and Norma. The 7x61 S&H, the 308 Norma Magnum and the 358 Norma Magnum.
