I am told the Europeans use red dot type sights for moose hunting-does anybody know what types and brands they favor?

Given the 9.3x57 is considered to be a ''200 yard'' rifle-an Aimpoint seems to make sense for hunting purposes-which is what I want it for.Another advantage is the bolt could be left unaltered.I'd be interested in other peoples opinions and experiances on reliability ,makes, models and best source .

Ratherbefishing,I would suggest the Aimpoint in a number of configureations. The 4000 to 9000 series is excellent. They have a "floating"dot that remains on target even when it is not centered. trust me they really work if you have low light or misty situations. I have two on my 284 &9.3x62. good luck, the are frequently on E bay. JITC

i ahve a millet i like it -mounted on my 375 h h
has several options on size of dot and also manty choices on power of dot
first time when i wnet to line it up was amazed how accurae one could be at 100 yards .
also floating dot - one needs to get use to it firs time i thought what wrong with this thing
it my bush gun find i can poick up aniamls quickly with both eyes open

I have a left master eye but shoot right handed,so am wondering if a red dot type sighting system may actually work to my advantage-now that I have decided to go with the red dot types -I need to figure out what would be the best choice in terms of reliability, function and accuracy and of course, good value
