Evan and Brooklyn's 2024 goat hunt

Looks like a great adventure. My second goat was a nanny due to inexperience. I learned that horn curve is not always a good indicator of ###. Big bases and the way they pee is what I look for now.

Thanks guys. Other than the nanny this was an amazing trip and now that the disappointment about he nanny is passing in thinking back on how awesome of a trip this really was

Great trip with your daughter, congrats on the goat even if it wasn't the one of your dreams, the memories for the trip will last a lifetime.
I already got the goat of my dreams in my 2022 hunt. Not the biggest but by far the best adventure I have ever gone on and made so many memories and me and my daughter still talk about it often and look through the pics. It's one of my favorite things I've ever done in my life

I wouldn't worry about the Doe/Nanny. Remote area. An 8 1/2 year old, dry female may just be taking fodder from younger animals, and may negatively impact their survival through the winter.

Amazing man, much respect for taken your daughter both times and double respect to YOUR daughter 👌👍🤘🦌

Love reading your hunts an experienced at 1am , unable to sleep... I feel like I'm in the Yukon! Great stuff

Cheers from Aus,mate!

last night I retrieved the goat head from the crab trap i kept behind my shed, seems the bugs did their job in cleaning it up.

i knew it was big compared to my 2022 Billy but i didn't realize there was such a difference. i know the hide is a lot bigger and it was definitely harder to carry off the mountain

anyway here are some comparison pics if anyone is interested, 2024 was the nanny, 2022 was the billy, both taken within 100m of each other 2 years apart to the week (aug 12 and 19) as seen in the last pic

and its already decided Brooklyn and I will be going back in 2026!!

A family road trip, some camping and fishing, a plane ride, some hiking, a bit more hiking, some shooting, downhill hiking, and a plane ride in a Beaver. Looks like a great time together.

WOW...wicked adventure, and with your daughter too !! Don't get much better than that in my books !
Thanks for taking all of us along with you guys ! Job well done !
