Asked the fella behind the counter if they had any Kel tec sub 2k's and he disappeared into the back room and returned with a Glock mag 9mm still in the box...

Sweet, it was up on display behind the counter Saturday afternoon......or was this another one that I was shown??? Your in luck, I "left" it there for you, lol. It's not on my "must have" list right now. :)
 
Exactly like that. I finally decided to get a Sub2000. I was at my local gun store where I had inquired about the peice before. I asked what I had to put down to order a Sub2000. The guy said the full amount. I was about to object to having to put in 100% upfront when he pulled one off the shelf and put it on the counter. Was firing it an hour later. Love that gun!

It was the one in the back, someone bought it and had "issues" with it so they sold it to me a bit cheaper then retail.... I put a hundred rounds thru it yesterday after dinner without a hitch, seems to really like 147gr +P GDHP's :D
 
Stopped into a small gun shop, and low and behold, they had a pink Sig Sauer Mosquito. Snapped a quick picture to the wife, and she wanted it. I couldn't find one anywhere. Then I asked if he happened to have a vertical foregrip with a built in bipod. He went to the rail section, and comes out with a vertical foregrip with a built in bipod. Then I got an e-mail from an online store stating that they have some gen 3 PMags in stock. I check it out, and low and behold the new gen 3 mags state they fit in the HK 416 (so HK MR223 compatible), ordered 5. They were sold out in a half hour. I'm so excited to get out shooting when I get home. My XCR-M is gonna be fitted out with new optics, and a grip and get it ready for hunting season. The Hk is gonna look ###y with some new mags.
 
Yes, when I went to order my Browning Xbolt in 308. He was telling me that he would have to order it in, and when I said ok to proceed he was starting the process on the computer and found that it said there was one in the back. He went and looked and came out a couple of minutes later with it in his hand. I was pleased to say the least.
 
You'll always be surprised at what some places have if you just ask.

a) Not every employe knows the entire backstore inventory
b) Websites are often outdated for weeks/months
c) Some employes don't know #### about firearms and yet are still hired
