So I have heard of some guys that break in a new rifle barrel by cleaning after every shot for the first 10 to 20 shots. The rationale is that it is supposed to make cleaning the barrel much easier and faster over the course of its life.
Ever heard of doing this for a brand new pistol? I know that it isn't necessary or common but it wouldn't be a big deal either.
The whole thing may not be possible as so many new pistols are factory test fired.
