Have you ever bought two similar or same rifles in order to spread the wear and tear between them? Or perhaps because you were worried they wouldn't be made for long?

Some folks own one rifle and hunt it their whole lives. However, mechanical things have a way of breaking, and your favourite rifle may not be in production when it breaks.

I keep a couple .223s, 2 22/250s, 2 .257 Weatherbys, 2 7mm STWs, 2 .308s, 3 .300s(down from 5, I'm getting better;)) , had 2 .338 Edges going for awhile, and 2 .375 H&Hs. One of these days my backup 30-06 will show up.

Some things are such a perfect fit for a specific use that nothing else seems quite right. Others like the .300 or .375 are such great all round compromises that nothing else feels right for the perfect compromise.

Nah, I like Neopolitan.
Then again, there are two turdy-turdies and two 308win's and three A-5's.
Awww hell, who am I kidding, Tigger Tigger is my favorite........

Sure do. That way I save on spare mags. LOL

i have 4 m14s, just for shtf- it was supposed to be for the wife and kids, but those never came

yep. I prefer to develop a load for a given gun, and then leave it alone. For example, I have two T3's in .223; one which is zeroes for 75 grain AMAX, and the other for 52 grainers. Then I have a Stevens 223 - not exactly a duplicate, but used for the same sorts of things. I haven't yet found a niche for that one

"Yep" I bought another Winchester SX-1 to back up my 1974 model with about 35,000 rds through it. There was obsolutely nothing wrong with the original and probably never wil be in my life time so I sold the newer one with no regrets.

Buy a good gun the first time around and you will have use of it for life. Of course your wants always take presidence over your actual needs thats why my fault is full!!

If i find a out of the ordinary rifle, i will often buy a second one, bought a Scout Steyr 308, i was so impess, i bought another one, 2 TRG-22, 2 TC Icon Precision Hunter 308. awaiting a second Benelli MR-1 in a month or two, same thing for scopes, i will often duplicate the item, all rifles are a good investment on the long run... Cheers. JP.
