ever buy back one you sold?

I have, yes, but even better, I bought about $3000 worth of guns from a guy going out of business, some were personal , some were business. I then sold one back the very next day for what I calculated to be a $300 profit. I would have taken less but he made the first offer and I accepted. Anyway, I took the $1200 and bought another $2500 worth the next day. I made out pretty good in the end (thanks CGNers by the way)

Sig SHR .270 :)

Don't know what I was thinking when I sold it, bought it back immediately when I saw it for sale on the EE

It's my dads hunting rifle now, he's "borrowing" it :(

So you're they guy

Just missed the HVA, had SPF when I saw it. Have had 2 '06 and 270 and regret selling both..

bought back a couple or 3.. When I got sick I sold off a bunch of things that I probably shouldn't have .. got lucky enough to buy the important 3 back..

Yes, I sold this one, but haven't got it back. A 12FVSS pillar mounted and glass bedded in Boyd's Laminate thumbhole stock. A real tack driving 22-250. :(

The first firearm I ever bought, a Savage Model 5D .22 RF bolt repeater. My brother really needed a rifle to teach his son to shoot, so I reluctantly sold him my rifle. Ten years later, I got it back by trading the son a couple boxes of .351 SL ammo. Still got it. Ironically, I'm planning to give it back to my nephew in the future as I have no kids to leave my guns to.
If the poster I sold my Win 70 Fwt .257 Bob to still had it, I'd be tempted to get that one back as well. Live and learn.

I have bought several back. In fact, Rembo and I seem to make a habit of buying and selling the same rifles back and forth to each other!

But come to think of it, the ones that I bought back? None of them stayed.

I recently re-aquired a nice little gun I sold a while ago.It is a beautiful little Husqvarna featherweight 30-06 with 20 1/2" barrel. the ballance of it is awesome and it is a joy to hold.I love it even more the second time around!

If that was the one on the EE not long ago I can see why you bought it back! That was a nicer than usual "Husky".:)

In a moment of stupidity I sold of my Grampa's Enfield. The barrel was shot out of it real bad so I sold it to someone here who was going to make a restored wall hanger out of it. If I'd have had my head on straight I would have gotten the barrel swapped out on it. The sentimental value did not kick in until later. yes, I am dumb. If I could remember who I sold it to I would see if I could get it back in a heart beat.:(

I haven't really regretted any other sales except when they come back for sale at let's just say a much higher price. I will leave it at that.....
Had the opportunity to buy one back recently, the only one to date but timing was right......

Only one...

Years ago I reluctantly sold to my best friend an older Ruger M77 tang safety that my grandfather had given me, I had done a fair amount of work to it like changing barrels converting it into a 22-250 from a 308 Winglass bedding etc this gun was now a tack driver that my buddy wanted more than me.

Long story short after about 15 years of regretting selling this rifle I told my buddy that I had just ordered a Kimber Varmint in 22-250 to replace the one he had bought when out of the blue he stated would you like to buy your old one back I have hardly ever used it anyway.

The rest is history I shot a wolf 1 1/2 months later and a couple of coyotes after that yeah baby my baby is home.

On a side note my grandfather that gave me the rifle originally died about a month after I shot the wolf so I am extra please to have my grandfathers rifle back...

Memories...
