I've bought a few. That I had to have. Then sold them again, before even shooting them. Wierd! Any of you guys do the same?

Dave.

Yup, had an inline muzzle loader that never left the box and I ended up selling it a couple years later. Bought a 10/22, never fired it, and ended up trading it for another rifle. Guns are good buys. They tend to hold their value.

All the time. :(

A friend of mine is convinced it's a disease. I still have a pistol that see's the light of day every couple of months. I strip it down, clean it up, put it back together again and it's never fired a shot. I've been doing this for about 4 or 5 years now. :runaway:

I've got two safes full of guns I've never shot and most likely never will in my lifetime.

I'm a Savage man and I bet a Winchester collector will say the same, "we're only caretakers of them".

Normally I will shoot what I buy, but I have purchased some that have got sold before I could shoot them. Price is right it has to go! The one really sick thing that I have done, (not proud of it), I have purchased a rifle new on the speculation that it would increase in value because was the last year of production. Sick, know but I maybe right.

Thats a pretty common thing for me.I buy or trade for them and send them on there way without ever shooting them.I just finished doing that with a Ruger#1 in 270 and a 36 cal Black Powder pistol in that last few weeks.

Currently have about 10 rifles that I own that I've never shot....

Bought a .17 CZ about a year ago still wrapped in plastic. Bought a flintlock pistol about two years ago. Never been fired.
