for that price i couldnt pass it up

(note to mods: not sure if this belongs here or under milsurp)

A BSA-sporterized P-14 including a Timney trigger. All I did was refinish the stock and put a better shim under the rear Weaver base. $150.00. Shoots about 1.25" @ 100m with Remington 180gr RN over RL15. It's now at Ellwood Epps being rechambered to .303 Epps.

Find deals I can't pass up way too often.
Since this is a 303 sporter thread, I was in a gun shop that had just been taken over by a new owner. I had never been there before so asked about milsurps. He went down in the basement and brought up two Enfield sporters and told me he wanted to get rid of them, considered them junk.
One was your typical cut down sporter although it had a Lyman peep on it. The other is a nice commercial sporter, not drilled, with a Lyman peep. Told me he'd take $100, taxes in for the pair. Didn't really want sporters but couldn't pass it up. Traded the ugly one and the other is an amazing shooter.

How about a brand new rifle that normally sells for 1899.99, and I paid less than most ask for this rifle used...
Thats what I call a deal... Or my BL22 that my buddy told me he'd take 50 bucks for it, and I couldnt do it to him... gave him 100.00 for it...
I dont think I've ever seen a used one go for under 300.00
Thats just two deals in the last two months I couldnt pass up...
I can keep going :):):)

Tikka T3 6.5x55, with dies, brass, rings and bases for $500 from a CGNer. Groups into 1/2 in with 95 grn VMax at 3000fps. Love that rifle. bearhunter

Ran across a few over the years.

The latest was my mannlicher stocked CZ in 6.5X55, hinged floor plate with "shutgun" lever release, ebony forend tip, right handed Timney safety with Doule set triggers for less than - well, let's just say it was a "good deal"!
