Rob Haught is/was a police officer and a well-known trainer.

The muzzle is controlled throughout.
(It most certainly does not cover any part of his body at any point in the video.)

The pics (with shotgun close to the body, and the buttstock over strong shoulder) appear to depict a retention position.

What wrong with a loaded shotgun hanging from a sling?

You make it sound like a bad thing.
 
you are right wendel. the gun points down to the ground and is not pointing at his feet.

i do not care to have a loaded gun pointing that direction but that is just my own view. thanks for the idea that he is retaining the gun in the still shots .i never thought of that.
