I didn't, but "Buddy" did. Out in SK, near Marengo, stopped the motor home near a RR-Crossing to jump shoot some huns. After chasing down the little brown bombers we get back to the motor home, and after a bit of lunch, decide to move down the road to Sceptre for the next day's goose hunting.
Somewhere just east of Leader, we decide to jump a few more huns we'd spotted. High & Low "Buddy" looks, but no shotgun to be found, just an empty case. On questioning, "what exactly did you do with it when we were back there ?", it comes to light that he'd leaned it against the side of the motor home when we'd had lunch ! Oops .. a drive back to where he'd left it( where along the way he'd also blown a bag of decoys off the top of the motor home, having not lashed them down securely ) we get back to find NO GUN. Someone in that part of the world I guess enjoyed his like new Winchester Super X1 for a number of years. Found about half the decoys on the way back !
Like most good friends, never mentioned it again ... ONLY like 4 or 5 times a year for the next 20 years ! ... HA !. ( He doesn't leave much lying around anymore !!! )
