Which brought comments like...

"No offence but something def isnt right.
THe rear sight needs to be moved back. Where is the front sight?
And what is that thing on the barrel back further?

To me the barrel doesnt look like a K98K barrel. "

and

German bolt, Israeli receiver with a weird ass barrel.looks like the barrel was used on a semi, have you shot it yet? just wondering if you've seen gas come out of that little thingy at the end of the barrel that means they installed a barrel from another rifle that was either semi or fa

and

Hope you didn't pay too much for it, that's a mess. What kind of trigger is on it? Looks like some aftermarket unit?

and

Well that little thing with the hole on the barrel looks almost like a gas port. there is no upper hand guard. The band is only held in by friction when its suppose to go on the retention spring on the stock.

Let us know how it shoots , this is one of the weirdest mausers I have ever seen even by Israeli standards.

Lol, well I've always had and eye for things with potential I guess.Only part left to come it the other top handgaurd, which is normal finish, not filed to fit finish lol. Anyway with some help from CGN for parts and a couple from Numrich I bring you these pics of my "Israeli Bastard"

Ryan , she is in very good turn out .what did you decide about parkerizing?

Hi Gaff, thanks again for the parts, as you can see they fit!!

I think I'm going to leave the finish the way it is for now, all the pieces seem to have the same old look so it can stay that way for a bit.

Looks waaay better! Nice work man. But you must admit original comments were warranted at he time, it was a mess. Youve done well with it.

Yeah it wasn't the prettiest that's for sure! My first Mauser, if nothing else I learned to buy a complete one next time. It all worked out now I have a complete one that shoots like a dream!

I would put my total cost at 350 including shipping in all my parts and the original gun. I'm thinking that's right around what it's worth.

I'll break it down for you:

Original rifle with 100 rounds and timney trigger shipped $360 so I call the gun $250.

Parts from numrich $80 with shipping.

Cgn parts $80 with shipping.

Guess I'm a little over $300, let's a call it $400!
