Excel bullets ?? Sticky grimey mess!!

One of my buddies used to run Excel plated in his XD40. He said they were good but now that the club gets lots of 1000 for cheaper he probably won't be using them. He hated the lead Excel bullets too.

I guess if you don't cast or like us do cast but run out of ingots sometimes then they are a good last resort practice bullet when you run out of other stuff. Provided the LeBaron has the caliber you need in stock.

...I just got off the phone with George (Goodwin Bullets) and he has stopped making them (damn) , just to busy with family obligations, BUT there may be light at the end of the tunnel, he MAY get back to it after a year or so.

I did wish his luck.

KEWL! As long as he's ok. Like I said, he's a nice guy. Lives near my Ma so used to pick them up when visiting her. Good to know it's just he's too busy right now and nothing serious.

I'd have to say that Excel lead bullets are the ugliest things out there. BUT so far their .32 wadcutter bullets work the most accurately in my Walther GSP, and I've tried Hornady, Speer & Lapua. All of which cost WAY more. For my 9mm & 45's, well, I have cheap azz pistols so I'm not sure if my group size have anything to do with the bullets yet. They may be ugly, inconsistent weight, etc., but they're pretty cheap and I can load more ammo to shoot which means I can practice more. I don't know if I'll get my peepee smacked for saying this, but I too got tired of LeBaron never having any in stock so I googled Excel and found out they're actually weren't that far from me! So I showed up (It's not a store, it's an industrial unit and they aren't really set up for retail) and bought a couple thousand bullets directly. Nice enough guys, and I got what I wanted in bulk. But like I said, they aren't a storefront and probably don't want to deal with people just walking up and asking for a couple hundred bullets and wanting to use their credit card.
