Excellent performance- cheap ammo

I had the opportunity to take a small buck over the weekend, and wanted to share my experience with the 150gr .308 federal power shok round I used

I ranged him at 340 yards and hit him up high, just between his front shoulder and neck as he 3/4 faced me. It came out the other side between one of his front ribs, but did not exit through fur. The picture you see below is how I recovered it; I don’t think I can ask for much better than that

Rifle: Ruger gunsite scout .308 16.5” barrel
Range: 340 yards

Fancy bullets and big magnums are not needed for deer, especially small ones. Good shooting!

Good shooting! And that has been my experience with that same load on about 8 deer so far. A great deer cartridge/bullet combination!

I've used the same rounds, and the 180gr loading. Federal blue box is good stuff
