Hi all, so I was at the range this morning to test out my new 45 with some reloads. I have never reloaded a pistol caliber and only brought a few rounds for testing purposes. Accuracy was good and had no FTE or FTF but did notice powder or something blowing back could feel it pepper my hand and also face a few times glad I had on my glasses!
was using berrys plated 230gr rn
remington new brass
cci 150
titegroup 4.7gr
C.O.L 1.230
I am wondering if it's an over crimp problem or under crimp problem or does it have something to do with the overall length? Each empty case was filthy on one side only so I assume gas/powder escaping back but not sure why. This was my first time shooting this pistol so maybe I should break down and buy a box of commercial to see how it shoots?
Thanks guys.
