If you look on the table just behind the gun, there is an extended length Sten barrel, with a reduced diameter toward the muzzle end. Probably the type of barrel used with the attached muzzle unit.
Also note the magazine in the gun - it is one of the Indian reduced to 20 round conversions.
 
i would bet its in the US based on the other goodies, the Para FAL lower, the tripod for a 1919, the row of ammo cans, and the rubber sleeve on the can suggests it gets hot

I'm pretty sure the barrel touching the magazine is an AR barrel. You can just make out the barrel extension on the left and the two holes near the muzzle that secure the front sight base.

You're right, it is. The collar and shank look Stennish, but it is an AR. There is a front sight base and gas tube there.
