Exchange of Gunsmithing Tools

Nope. Way too many categories already, no way we need to make it more convoluted and confusing. Keep it in the Exchange of Other Stuff. What's next, Exchange of Shop Equipment? People going to be selling their "lightly used" hobby lathe from 1942 for crazy prices.

Every gunsmith I know of uses a lathe...

Exchange of Gunsmithing Tools would add one category to the existing 19, of which there are two for optics. I believe every gunsmith on CGN would appreciate an Exchange of Gunsmithing Tools.

I would support this addition. I love to browse here and there and this would be another way to fall down an internet rabbit hole to educate myself on things

Good idea -- because I'd be able to say that I've been looking high and low for an 8mm-06 reamer and dies, and have various other reamers and dies to trade for it!

I'm not a gunsmith - I'm a gun maker (an important distinction in my mind) I use both wood and metal lathes regularly - indispensable: second only to my bandsaw. and yea, my metal lathe is a 1950s Atlas 10f ;)

So - yes, that is a category I would add to my daily trolling for gold routine, with the caveat that most of the tools that get used are not 100% specific to gunsmith work, files, chisels and rasps get used on near every job in my shop .... and ooooooooohh god I love a good measurement tool. :)
