Just ordered and paid for all my parts. Now the wait!
Pretty excited for this build, as I have made efforts to go 100% Canadian
Will salvage parts and bits from current build so I could materialise this build sooner than later.

Build parts are as follow.

MDT ESS chassis, FDE with 15'' handguard
IBI 26'' M40 profile .308 barrel
Insite arms 30 cal 3/4x24 brake
Ultimatum deadline action
Trigger tech diamond trigger

Here is the completed build, ready to test fire :

You forgot the Tangent Theta!

For the cost, Tangent Theta scopes are underwhelming. Better off getting a Schmidt&Bender, better bang for the buck and used by the Canadian Forces.

Don’t forget ATRS rings. I just bought some and they are quite nice.

Cadex also makes a bipod with good reviews. Had it been out a few years ago I would have bought one instead of an LRA.

if you go instead with nigh force rings, you can purchase a top half for the rear ring to add bubble level and angle indicator

while I love everyone of my atrs products, I think this might be of interest. put an atrs 20 or 30 Moa base on though!

My razor gen 2 is in a spuhr
Decided to go unimount at the time, and that was the one that «looked» more solid even though i didn’t really know.

So with a cadex unimount and tangent theta someone could go 100% Canada all the way.
Since my razor gen ll is in a spuhr sitting comfortably for over a year now, i'll keep things as they are.

My bipod will be changed in due time.
Will probably go with cadex on this one.

At least for the build, I was considerate of CDN shops.
I ordered chassis and action from same shop, but had to shop elsewhere and pay another shipping just so that trigger ends up being Canadian made.

My build is very similar to this, I used a nightforce unimount though.

You go to eosc?
Myself am going saturday.
I basically have this build running right now, with a savage action and trigger.
I can go 25 rounds in a row in 5 groups, 1/2 moa, 200M

Will be swapping middle section out of ESS for the ultimatum one
Ultimatum receiver
And trigger tech diamond trigger (which i have heard is cleaner than my savage rifle basix)

I wasn’t suppose to hunt down better than 1/2 moa
Roofing cost me less than expected, a bit extra cash at work, and now i can treat myself.

Can’t wait to see what kind of impact the trigger/receiver will have on my groups.
Let’s just say i am not selling savage receiver with it’s ESS middle portion until i can get at least 1/2 moa with this setup.
And not a 1 off group 1/2 moa. A 25 shots 5 groups 200M.

Pride

I am Canadian and just love it when a manufacture works from in country.
At some level it also keeps money in country.

I also do this with ketchup, toilet paper, and anything possible, when also practical.
I would not buy Canadian if it meant lower quality, we are blessed to have such great manufacturers in the great white north!

With MDT, ATRS, Insite arms and IBI I know the quality is there.
Ultimatum I just can't wait for it to ship here and judge for myself, people do not seem disappointed so far.

The rifle itself will end 100% CDN

Scope and mount are spuhr and vortex (finland and japan iirc?), everything is mounted already and being unimount it just hops from 1 rifle to another.
Maybe future scope setups, but this one will stay for now as it's paid for, and the ultimatum just dug a small hole in my wallet.
