Expected accuracy from a Ruger 10/22 or other semi autos?

Not the best groups, but this is with my CZ-455 Evolution at 50 yards.

that's tight, good shooting, I am so glad I don't have those targets, I would waste way too much ammo trying to shoot out the whole star like at the carny, lol

I bought a couple of 10/22 Ruger rifles when they were first in production and there were no aftermarket parts available.

The deluxe model was acceptably accurate, the standard not so much, even with quality ammo. Neither was anything to write home about.

I sold them both, and have never bought/owned another. Too many better choices out there. I have an older Mossberg 151Mb that will consistently shoot 5/8" or so for 5 at 50 with RWS ammo.

I am a bolt gun fan, and even my lower priced bolt actions [CZ 452 American] will shoot tighter than the Mossy, so the Ruger is not attractive to me whatsoever.

The Marlins are good guns, however, and there are other semi-autos that will make you happy.... Just not a 10/22 unless you want to invest more money in it.

Regards, Dave.

I have built a couple of 10/22 based rifles, but I will never bother doing so again. I bought a factory Volquartsen rifle that outshoots every modded semi auto rimfire that I have seen, and some people paid more for their builds, than I paid for the Volquartsen.
