Thinking of picking up a .17HMR to use with CZ 455 however I'm not sure if I can Use any CZ 455 barrel since my rifle did not come as combo.

Also I have not found a supplier of CZ factory barrels so have no idea on price.

Finally, does anyone have experience swapping barrel with CZ 455 and is it worth other or would you recommend getting a separate.17hmr instead

The 455 is designed to swap out barrels, the combos are the same gun just with an extra barrel and mag. The factory replacement barrel sets are called “455 mini set”, Wolverine stocks them.

They are really easy to swap out so if you can’t afford or want a new .17/22 mag a couple minutes of work and you’re ready to go!

While a lot of shooters like to have two separate rifles, for the price of a .17HMR barrel and magazine and the short time it takes to change it you would have a second caliber to shoot. You may find yourself shooting .22LR more, however, as 17HMR ammo is the price of top quality .22LR match ammo. (There is no .17HMR match ammo made.) If shooting with optics, take note of how much you have to adjust the scope the first time you shoot with the .17HMR barrel. If you keep this information, it makes zeroing the scope more expeditious.

I swapped out my 22LR for a 17HMR in a few minutes.

Barrel kit (as per post 2 above) was from Wolverine. Since I had a 22 varmint barrel/stock setup I was lucky they had a 17HMR varmint setup in stock.
That would be the only consideration buying the new barrel kit. Varmint or Standard Barrel. They will both fit the rifle but a Varmint barrel probably won't fit a Standard barrel stock.

FWIW the CZ455 Varmint Miniset in 17HMR was $329.99 plus shipping and taxes a year ago. Not sure if the Standard barrel set is cheaper.

I wound up buying a Tikka T1x in 22LR rather than swapping barrels back and forth on the CZ.

hy fljp I swapped a . 22 varmint barrel from a 455 Evolution onto a 457 MTR .17 HMR and put the HMR back to the Evolution. I did it just to see the effect ,Not a problem . I could not find a 455 or 457 replacement barrel , varmint or other available in Canada . That said I do have a couple 455's and a Lithgow 101 therefore don't need to keep changing barrels . If anyone here knows where to find barrels in Can. please let me know .......... skwerl

I emailed wolverine last to see when they will have barrels in. They have none on website

When you buy a "combo set" rifle with 2 or more barrels, they have all been matched by the factory for proper headspace in the action. When you buy a single barrel, that will not be the case. It should be checked before use, preferably by someone that knows what they're doing.

Rangeview sports has a 22lr varmint miniset listed for sale on their site. I assume that it’s in stock, but you’d be wise to call before ordering
Other option is custom, as Jerry mentioned
