Experience with different .223 62gr

Ok what have been your experiences with different 62 gr .223 ammuntions? Accuracy? Clean?

Unless you reload , where do you find 62 gr Ammo.

As far as I know nowwhere.

If You reload it depends on many factor, your gun, twist rate, bullet shape, powder used,.....

Do really need to provide sarcasm? If you really don't have anything to say that answers the question please keep your comments to yourself.

It helps to have a sense of humour here.

Your question is pretty generic. Accuracy will depend on what it's being shot out of, to a great extent. If by "clean?" you mean "does it leave as much crap in my gun as Czech M43?" then the answer is "yes, it's much cleaner than Czech surplus".

What brand? Silver Bear from Russia makes a 223 62 gr hp cartridge. It shoots quite well at 200 yards from my Ruger M77 bolt action rifle that has a 1 in 12 twist. That's probably the heaviest bullet it would stabilize. I haven't tried it beyond 200 yards. Seems to burn clean. The sealer on the primer leaves a red dust on the face of the bolt.

Well I have seen 62 gr winchester whitebox and american eagle 62gr and few others in edmonton just wondering if anyone had any problems with anything they shot. I know people have had problems with the 55 gr UMC just wondering if anyone had any trouble with any 62 gr cartridges.

My Savage 12FV HATES the American Eagle 62gr FMJ...

I would like to try the Winchester USA stuff... but haven't been able to find it...

They have some at P&D in Edmonton phoned a few days ago was thinking of purchasing some too. But wanted to know if anyone had good or bad experiences with the white box stuff :sniper:

Hi

I've gotten my hands on a few military loads with the 62grn slug.

IVI, LC (USA) and SB (Spain) plus reloads using Speer's 62FMJ that's made in Israel

Gun was an Armalite 14.4 in bbl 1 in 9 twist

My reloads and the SB shot amazing. IVI was great some times and other times the groups were poor. LC was worse then IVI.

The only thing LC had going for it, it was cheap at the time.
