Experience with QR rings/bases?

Anyone able to share their experience on Leupold QR ring/base performance ...(or direct me to a previous thread on this).

I'm interested to know if they allow you to hit a "minute of moose or deer" after removing and reattaching, without re-sighting?

I'm considering using them on a Rem 700 BDL .30-06 with 2-7x scope.

I havent used them myself, but ive always heard that it should re zero within half an inch or so.

Have them, use them and yes for hunting purposes they work well and are well worth the $. I take off and remount scopes on a hunting rifle and slug shotgun and both return to zero very well though I've never tried to see the repeatability beyond the 200yd mark. That said I still reverify the zeros before hunting season. Aside from checking on the zero it's not a bad idea to shoot your hunting rig as often as possible so you're familiar with it.

Thanks guys! I think I'm convinced. They seem like the best option for being able to use my iron sights and scope on the same gun or even swapping the scope between my deer shotgun and rifle for different hunts.
