Howdy,

Anyone have experience the the SAV-RAT drop in triggers from Rifle Basix? As much as I love my accutrigger on my model 25 and Mark II sometimes it is just not as crisp and creep free as it should be (strange how sometimes it has a little creep and sometimes it does not).

Anyways, I've been thinking about spending the $100 or so to get one down here but I just thought I'd check and see if anybody had experience with them before I go throwing cash away. I've heard that they are creep free, light (advertised down to 1.25lbs) and break like a glass rod while still being safe. If anyone has experience with them I would be really interested in hearing about it.

Cheers,

J

Hi I have this trigger on my fvsr it does break clean, and has a lot less creep then the accutrigger.I think it is a good investment.

I have half a dozen of them... they are nice with an adjustable clean break... you have to be very careful because the sear adjustment nut is VERY touchy and can back out at times... resulting in slam bangs and slip fires... I had it happen on two or three guns.... which scared the crap outta me... I went back and stiffened all of my triggers a tad and smeared the thread stem with pipe dope to keep them from backing out.

I'm happy with mine - lighter and a much cleaner break than the Accutrigger. Have not had any problems.

There's another option now - the Apachee trigger kit. It's apparently only a few small parts but works well. Also cheaper than the Rifle Basix. For details check Rimfire Central under Savage/Stevens. I've got one on order and will try it in another gun.
