Experiences with heavy handloads out of the TNW ASR 10mm, 45acp?

Anyone here have direct experience using heavy handloads in the TNW ASR in either the 10mm or 45?

I'm wondering how well it manages with stout "Buffalo Bore" level loads and hotter. It would mostly be used with moderate loads for target and pests, but also occasionally deer hunting with the heavy loads.

I'm curious with it being direct blowback, and also wondering about the twist rate in the barrel and using heavier than normal bullets.

For 45, I'm actually wondering about working up 45 Super loads if going this route.

Being that it's a direct blowback, experimenting with hot loads is not a great idea. Even with factory ammo, the 10mm TNW ASR's have a reputation for bulged cases and excessive wear. If you push your loads much hotter and rupture a case, it's gonna be ugly.

I haven't seen in a TNW yet, but I've been present for the explosion of both a JR Carbine and an Angstadt Arms UDP9 at the hands of ruptured cases, and it ain't pretty...

Have you seen this in TNW carbines yourself? The only reports I have seen are that they have tight chambers and handle Buffalo Bore ammo well. I have heard that Thureon Defense carbines have a reputation for loose chambers.

I'm hoping someone here can share their direct experience with the TNW ASR.

Have you made contact with TNW direct ?
I had a question a few years back and had a pleasant positive reply within hours .
Leads me to believe they have good..very good customer concern support.

Good idea, thanks - They wrote back the next day to say they use Buffalo Bore ammunition and it works. No specific info about chamber size and case condition though.

I'm now particularly interested in hearing if the 45ACP version can handle hot 45 Super loads well enough for light round counts - It mostly would be used with moderate subsonic 45ACP loads.

I’ve blown the rim off a couple of reload in a JR , because it was toooooo hot! You don’t need it! It won’t shot any better, and with mine it started to “ throw” the bullets at the target...not what you want or need, I worked up a load that just get the job done... much easier on my barrel and action. You don’t need 2000 FPS, when 1000+- will do the job quit well.... just my 2 cents..mine is a JR in 9mm. I cast and shot 147gr, also have a box of 5000 Winchester bullets that I reload with, when I don’t have any case at the time of needing some reloads, have always used reloads, rifle my have a box or two of store bought ammo though it, the rifle probably has 3000 plus rounds down the pipe, I bought it it replace my 22rf, reloadable, cheap, and carries , just a little heavier.

The ASR handled hot 10mm better than any of the twenty or so 10mms I have owned throughout the years. Essentially zero case head deformation of any kind. I only sold it because it was a pretty terrible rifle if you want to shoot a lot.

Recoil is very abrupt and significant, you are limited to using some sort of optic unless you are ok with 6" or so of sight radius and any load using ball powder would blast me in the face every time I pulled the trigger.

They have an ejection port cover now I think but still... The barrel would also loosen after an indeterminate amount of shooting regardless of whether the set screw was tightened. As delivered my rifle also had their original trigger. It was and is hands down the ####tiest trigger I have ever pulled, no take-up and 20+lbs to break...
