expired PAL with prohib

I understand that if your PAL expires you lose your prohib statis! Does anyone know if it is possible to keep your prohib statis apon renewing your PAL, and what you need to do if it is possible?

Renew your PAL now. Can't say if your prohib status is history but you may be screwed and not in a nice way.

If your pal hasn't expired make sure you renew it early. You also must have at least one prohib to retain your status. If you sell your last prohib, you lose your status.

Just make sure that your application for renewal is before it expires..... otherwise, there is a good change that you will lose your status (12.6). I apply at least 6 months before mine expires so I have the evidence that I wanted to renew it.

I did talk to CFC on this matter and they told me that as long as your application was dated a reasonable time before it expires, your status would not change.

There has been some variation between provinces with regard to CFO interpretations. Technically you're screwed, but some CFOs have bent rules...
