Explain please? (discoloration)

Annealing process..as in reloading? I ask because I have never seen this before..I bought them thinking they were new..not reloads.
They are new, that's how they come. One of the reasons they are so expensive and so damn good. You have the best brass money can buy. Enjoy
Annealing (metallurgy), a heat treatment that alters the microstructure of a material causing changes in properties such as strength and hardness and ductility
They are not necessarily reloads, and do not appear to be such in this picture! A number of European sourced ammos leave this coloration intact when they send out loaded ammo.
In North America, the practice is to polish the round after it is loaded, thus no annealing discoloration can be seen. Regards, Eagleye.

Doesn't have anything to do with new or reloaded.
When they make the brass shells, they start with a blank disk and send it thru a series of dies. Since brass gets "work hardened" (gets harder and more fragile as you work it), the machines will heat up the top portion to return the metal to it's original state, the process is called "annealing".
This is what is causing this sort of discoloration.
If they didn't do that the shells would end up cracking while they are manufactured.

Well I bought 140 rounds of these for my new Norc for 10 bucks a box.I went thru about 40 rounds on a windy/rainy day... (yeah the first day out with it

I was told to save my brass for reloading..apparently these are good for that..and I can have them reloaded for the same price as I originally paid.

As mentioned, it's just the discolouration caused by annealing that hasn't been polished out. Nothing to worry about.

I use ht tp://tinypic.com/ and still not quite used to it..if we had another option here within the site to upload directly from our PC's it would be much better,but with using an HD cam it is what it is..and tinypic.*** is always at default....I do appreciate all the input guys..thanks all
