I'm just saying his prices are high.
Bingo!
Wait till you see what happens to antique prices when talks of handgun bans start heating up again.
In the his post... The prices he listed to explaine the high cost of antiques.
He can charge what he likes. I could care less... That's between him and his customers. Selling 20 1892s is pretty impressive, how come he's not a dealer?
I'm just chatting about the high cost of antiques.
I'm just saying his prices are high.
if people are buying his guns , are his prices really high ?
it is not like he has a large volume of them to draw on , but in fact a very limited amount , and once they are gone , there may be no more for a long while .
and like what was mentioned earlier , you are buying a legal shooter with minimal paper work ....... no att's no rpal's no making sure are your ducks are in line ... all the t's crossed and i's dotted just so you can legally pack a handgun in the bush .
what you trade in lack of paper work you gain in possible unreliabilty of a old firearm .
many people will pay a premuim to make sure it is reliable , thus the so called " high prices " .
Ok, it's clear some didn't understand the intent of that post...
I wasn't talking about his guns in the ee. I was talking about his list of prices in this thread. He has parts listed in the ee for less than his post in this thread. It seems strange to me... Eh, what do I know?
most of the parts on that EE ad are Sold. And maybe you should RECHECK IT!!! If you ad up the price on it they are close to the same.
Oh, I checked. Back to your habit of changing your posts when you get called on it?I don't care about your guns. I'm not the "complete duraCoat restoration" kinda guy...
People can pay what they wish. If people would do just a little research they would find importing an antique isn't that difficult.
I understand why people are willing to pay a premium. It's no sweat off my back, I'm the kind of guy that still changes his own oil.
The last gun show I was at there were some real dirt balls with absurdly high prices taking advantage of new guys. I find the Internets greatest power is the free trade of information. If I can help a new guy learn its up to me. I just hate gun show chicken hawks burning newbies....
lost of the parts on the EE are used... And maybe you should RECHECK IT!!! If you ad up the price on it they are close to the same. (And in this Tred i lised the price of NEW parts, when in my EE ad some are used!
and when i posted the price. They where the pricing that most ppl would pay if they got the parts from coltparts

Not hard to know who is was seeing i seen you selling em...
Unless the guy i am thinking of sold them to you...
Starpuss prices on his parts are all very fair and really a good deal consideing Numrich charges a min of $25 shipping even if you buy just a $5 part to ship it to Canada.
I think there shipping just went up to and there the only place i know of to buy 1892 colt parts that or colt parts.
Im glad he has this stuff so i dont need to deal with 4 week wait period on parts.
I was gona buy a 1892 hand off him but because i sent him a picture of my hand he told me i didnt need a new one and he was right.
This calling Down people on here is getting old if you dont want to buy stuff in the EE risk your own money and import it yourself.
Starpus,
I've never bought a gun from you. What guns are you talking about? Feel free to pm me.
Again, I wasn't talking about your guns in the ee, Only your post in this thread.
Nope, not I. I just found cgn. I've been doing it old school...
Well the last guns you sold on the EE i had. And i remeber i sold both of them to the same guy. So you must of got them off the EE then.
I bought a hand from numrich and a webley latch screw both showed up rusted both were old used parts.
i was not impressed.
