It's Christmas man, folks are busy. Sales should pick up in the New Year.

BTW, it's always a little harder to sell an incomplete unit. Only so many folks are into thier own modding. If you don't get the interest after bumping it for a couple of weeks, try throwing a cheap stock barrel & handguard on it (and up the price accordingly). It may move better as a functional unit. Or part it out separately...

By the time you add the bolt group, handguards, charging handle, barrel and handguards, you're at the new AR price...so the deal really isn't that fantastic.

Exactly. And instead of having a brand name factory assembled rifle, you have a parts gun. The deal doesn't have to be fantastic, but it has to be attractive.

You might do better selling piece by piece, rather than as a unit.
A prospective buyer might not want all the parts in the set.

you did nothing wrong, just your timing is off. 6 months ago i would have been on that so fast. the problem is that most like my self bought a lower or 2 back when they were cheep. so by now were ether done of almost done building an ar.
on the other hand, what do you want for your acog?

I'm not sure what the pieces cost you, but its not exactly stupid cheap when you look at adding a $350 barrel, $200 bolt group, and some other pieces. Then you need someone with the tools to install the barrel. You can buy a complete AR for $1300 at Questar.

Supply and demand.

What you have there isn't that extraordinary. The supply of new ARs in stock with vendors, and old ARs being dumped on EE by people over the holidays means that your pricing isn't as cheap as you believe as there are so many alternatives on the market.

That and you've bundled too much stuff that people probably would not want for free.

Thanks a lot guys, interesting to here that there are really two clear cut perspectives. I'm just so impatient because I need to be making bike payments, so what seemed really cheap to me (when I was looking to buy lowers, they were selling at 500 new) so I assumed 700 with a bunch more parts would be a great deal, apparently I was wrong. Haha Learn something new everyday.

Nothing wrong with a parts gun it you know what your doing, ar15s are so simple to put togeather and very forgiving.

The letters UTG in that order does it for me. Full stop.

I wonder what else the owner may have mangled into the gun.

Not to mention real acogs are pieces of ____, never mind a bushnell.

Your photo looks like hell and only God knows what brand the stock and magazine are. I can easily come up with many more questions for your ad. I'd sooner flip the page though and let it be.

Members tent to be way more diligent these days. As of a few days ago, I want to see detailed photos of everything I buy. No photos, no sale. Even from long time members with uber ratings I'm not familiar with. There are exceptions, but very few.

Recently I've had Airsoft parts show up at my door masquerading as the real macoy. Imagine the nerve. This has brought my trust level down to a fat O.

So, be very descriptive and show plenty of photos. These will be your strongest tools for a sale.

Also, I personally hate clicking on links to see photos, or in your case, a thumbnail to a crappy photo that really tells me nothing. In fact, these days I think a crappy photo may have something to hide.

Happy New Year to all.

UTG means full stop for me too.....if your willing to use that....I want nothging to do with any of your firearms. I use top quality rods, bore guides, etc etc as I am really anal about maintaining them.......someone who buys UTG I cant see them doing the same thing.

Part it out. The reason why I am getting one built is because I want specific parts. I think most people are the same way.

Easy, before you get your panties in a twist because of some poor previous deals, if you requested proper pictures of stuff you were buying you would not have gotten scammed in the first place. All stuff made by different companies has markings that would tip you off if it was missing or a different type if it was GENUINE part or not. The only part that is not of the highest quality is the UTG rail and for me on my other AR WAS ROCK SOLID.
