Someone please educate Dave Tomlinson on proper use of underlining. I stopped reading halfway through the article because it was so God damn irritating.

Yeah - good luck with that :)

Dave has the mind of a legal genious. He's not always the most presentable writer or speaker tho :) God bless 'im, we're lucky to have him but he's got his strengths and weaknesses.

Cut and paste it into window's 'notepad'. Takes care of it.

"If the shotgun is semi- automatic or full automatic, shortening the barrel to less than 18.5", or substituting a barrel less than 18.5" long will make it a "restricted firearm." Shortening it to less than 18" or substituting a barrel less than 18" long will make it a "prohibited firearm." Replacing the barrel with one over 18.5" long will put it back into the non-restricted class."

Holy crap, is that ever confusing. Can that be right? If you take a fully automatic shotgun, and shorten the barrel to less than 18.5 inches, it becomes a restricted firearm?

In that case, WTB one full auto restricted shotgun with 18" barrel!

funny part is, most people in the states only have one just for the sake of saying they have one. most will tell you it is a POS. sorta like the desert eagle is. fun to play with, just a POS.

Dlask 8.5"

I purchased one a few months ago and can tell you first hand that it can be a handful to shoot with magnum and 3" loads. At this time I don't have a forward vertical pistol grip, but holding the front strap, applying forward pressure while pulling back slightly on the pistol grip does make a difference in felt recoil. With out this technique you feel it in your hand, wrist and elbow especially with 3 inch loads. Tried holding it in one hand only and pulling the trigger. Bad idea. This gun is designed for two hands shooting. Distributes recoil to both arms and gives greater accuracy.

You still have to aim it to accurately hit your target.

There is a massive muzzle flash about 2' long x 1' high, even visible in the day. Havn't tried it at night yet.

Purchased it for protection from black bears. Its non restricted category allows easy carrying with more knock down power than most handguns. I also possess a wilderness carry permit for handguns, but find this a preferred package as it eliminates much of the paperwork.

Any one who does not believe black bears are a threat doesn't live in northern Ontario.

Does any one know who makes holsters suitable for this shotgun? Or someone with the skills to make one for me? I need something suitable to allow easy carry.

I wondered the same thing- they mention pistol grip stock...

Can you imagine what it's like to fire this thing??? :runaway:
I'd like to hear from people who have...yes it has the LCF in spades but can it be fired tolerably??

That would be an awesome bear defense gun for back country people with no carry permit...
