Extended bolt releases for the M14.

I'm really wondering about the purpose of these... why not just hit the op-rod back?
I understand you cannot easily release the bolt without the extended part...

The idea is so that you can keep your strong hand on the stock and your finger near the trigger. You change the mag with the left hand and just hit the release instead of taking your hand off the grip and hitting the op-rod.

I have always steered clear of the tactical bolt latches due to them being easily tripped by setting the rifle down on the left side..... Now that my krieger rig is wearing a boyd's type 2 super fat laminate stock..... the stock has enough meat there to allow use of tis latch and not worry about it being tripped.
I really like the original rooster33 latch ove the others i've used.

I gotta get in touch with rooster and see if he wants to start pumpin out more of his awesome M14 upgrade parts... So Rooster.... if yer readin this... please p.m. me :D

oh I get it

Forgot people are in majority right-handed :D for me, racking the op-rod as a left handed is easier, no need of tactical-extended release
