Extended Chokes?

Sorry, I am sure this topic has been posted numerous times in this forum but I am trying to help out some friends and I am fairly new to the shotgun end of things.

Went shooting some clays last Thursday with a group of guys, first outing with my new Franchi.

We got talking choke tubes and how they wanted extended chokes for their pump shotguns (after I cleaned house in our little competition).

One uses a newer Mossberg pump, purchased within the last two years, not sure the model. And the other guy uses a Weatherby PA08. Both 12g.

Any of you guys know where to look, I have checked most of the bigger shops with little to no luck. Any tips would be appreciated, cheers.
 
I picked up a pattern master for my Benelli from Cabela's and it not only patterns great, but it hits hard too. Might be a bit overkill for clays, but I use it for waterfowl. They carry Carlson's extended choke tubes as well.
 
I use Carlson's for Duck/Goose hunting and they work great. These guys in Ontario are great to deal with and have fast shipping turn around. Remove the space in the w's and you're good to go.

Before purchasing new chokes, they should pattern their shotguns. If the patterns are satisfactory, spend the money on shells and clays for practice. I've found it equally easy to miss with normal or extended chokes
 
It’s good you are trying to help them out, but if they don’t care enough to find their own chokes, why do you? I have/hd lots of friends like that who wanted me to do all the leg work ect. Now unless it is a new younger shooter or a real old timer i just tell them google is your friend.

I have sighted in dozens of friends rifles and cleaned ect to find that it becomes more expected than appreciated. Now that I have children and work is more demanding, i just say you will either figure it out or you won’t and shrug my shoulders.

They are both avid hunters. They have never been really techy into gun stuff, just buy the cheapest gun that works from the gun shows to get some food on the table, whereas I spend thousands each year on guns and ammo. They don't realize that there is more to the Canadian market than Cabelas and Canadian Tire. They conceded and said extended chokes for their guns dont exist in Canada, I told them someone on the forum would help me as I am not a huge shotgunner myself.

I even had to determine the threads they use for each shotgun. I just like to do what I can to help out friends and grow the hobby.

So thank you gentlemen, I found the right chokes for both of them at Al's and directed them there. Happy shooting everyone.
 
Extended chokes are designed to keep patterns tighter out to longer ranges they are of no use in clay shooting 40-45 yds . There design is for 45-60 yds

Hard to find extended chokes for those 2 pumps, other than turkey or waterfowl. They both use Standard Browning Invector (not Plus), Mossberg Accu-Choke and Win-Choke.
