There was a reversed 1911 made in the 1980's, I think Randall made a stainless lefty version of the 1911. Personally, I abhor the extended slide release on a 1911 but I am a righty.

Lol..I hate slide stops period, better for me if they just don't work at all...all my 1911's are short stroked with shok buffs to the point that the slide stop won't work.
