Does anyone know of a dealer that sells extra high scope rings? I have a scope with a 44mm objective and 1" tube that I am mounting onto my AR180B and I need the eyepiece to clear the rear sight. I contacted Wolverine and they are going to get back to me about Burris rings, but I don't think they manufacture extra-high rings, and the other extra-high that Wolverine carries are A.R.M.s and Badger Ordnance rings which are $200.00+ /pair, and I want to spend $100.00 at most on a pair. Any reccomendations?

Thanks.

the ones that don't have screws on either side of the ring (on the scope grip, not the base one) are hard to set true vertical, due to the scope rotating during tightening. Great care must be taken because both rings put tension on the tube, none of which are controllable, so you'll get a lot of twisting in the scope, all unnecesary. AND they usually mar teh scope as well.

Weaver (since we're talking cheap) came up with a version that has screws on both sides. Way better.

the ones that I recommend are a little expensive and I use them on better rifles, with good scopes. TPS, IOR.... and there are many more, but these are the ones I use.

Well, I tried the Weaver Extra-Highs but they are not high enough (not to mention POS - they're the ones that clamp on one side, and they don't sit level on the base) so I am returning them tomorrow to Wholesale and bringing my rifle with me to try to get some higher ones (with the Weaver's the power ring is pretty much touching the rear sight) and they don't mount uniformly, the front ring was more to the left, so the scope was crooked. I want to get higher rings, and some higher quality ones. I am still thinking about the TPS, but don't know if they will be tall enough? Any ideas?
