Extraction problems with Savage

A lot of people on the Savage Shooters forum are reporting extraction problems with their Savage rifles in .223rem...

Anyone on this board have that problem? If so how was it rectified?

I've only put 4 boxes of cheapy UMC thru my FV and no probs. Interesting though the consensus on Savageshooters is sloppy ammo.

No problems with extraction on either of my 12FV's...

I've had no problems with extraction with my Savage 12FVSS, and that is with Winchester, American Eagle, and neck sized reloads.

I haven't even heard of any extraction problems.

I haven't heard of this specifically, but my only dislike about the Savage I had in 7 RemMag was that the bolt was quite sloppy compared to other rifles I have.

I found that if trying to rack the bolt quickly, it tended to bind if I wasn't careful about how I pulled it back. Not something I want in a hunting rifle.
