Just wondering what you guys think is the better gun?
I shoulderred both and i liked them both can't decide which one i will be happier with.
Also what gun do u think would be better for clays and pheasants.
Both firearms have been designed with primarily Waterfowl hunting in mind.....
However, that shouldn't act as a major deterrent and prevent you from subjecting either to the range of duties that you have indicated. Depending on FIT (the more important criteria ).... a shotgun with a 26" bbl (or perhaps even 24 inch) may serve better for those various applications since the overall length of a semi or pump tend to be greater.
IMO, the Benelli will be a little lighter (read a bit more felt recoil.....negligible if you are already used to Pump Shotguns or CF Rifles etc), less bulky, and certainly offer an advantage in terms of simplicity of stripping and ease of maintenance.
Both are great shotguns and you won't be disappointed in either. The Benelli SBE II is a little lighter and does recoil a little more, but it's easier to strip and clean. I've use my Xtrema2 for clays and waterfowling without any complaints. Purchase either and enjoy.
Again, FIT would be the priority.......admittedly, I have no experience with either model but given my exposure to SBE II and M2, the Benelli will have a sure edge maintenance wise. I expect both the Beretta and Benelli specified would perform equally well.
