So are we shooting every day? half days each day, or 2 full days? Just trying to figure out when I should fly in from Norway. Anyone got any tips on hotels? so far the nicest one (at least in pictures) is http://www.althanskypalac.cz/en/accommodation.html and at $95 a night (CDN) for a double room, it seems reasonable to me. Also looking for ammo pricing, as I don't think British Airways is going to let me take 1000 rounds along. But hey it might be fun to try.

squads 1 - 28 will start on Wednesday AM and 29 - 56 on Wednesday PM.

Althansky palac is nice or some friends from Italy stayed last year here http://www.hotel-savannah.com/uvod/ and they told me it was great there

Thanks Katka. Ammo is a bit expensive (if that's the price per 50) but you get the bonus of knowing its there, whereas traveling with it might not be so easy. Email sent to Cairo. I'll be picking my squad in the next few days.
 
Heh...try shipping your ammunition to a foreign country. It's not as easy as it sounds. We tried that in Ecuador and it didn't work so well.
 
I'm taking my ammo to Norway then buying ammo in Czech. Talked to BA and they say it will still be fine to take ammo under 5kg so long as I have the invite etc.
You can pick your ammo from the match ammo website Euxx. Two types for 9mm.

If you know of someone going,.perhaps they are shooting match ammo in production or standard, and they could take some of your ammo as they would not be bringing any.
 
traveling with ammo to major matches has always been fun, regardless of any new rules coming down the pipes. the 5kg limit is usually about half what a person needs for these big matches, so arranging local supplies is really the only way to go if you can't ship ammo to the range.
 
never thought to ask this before. Is there a banquet or anything after the match? for the awards? or is it just the shoot off on Sunday and a handshake-cya later type thing?
