Just got my unit today.
I’m in the setting up process.
Either I love it and get a second and run both units in different calibers (with wife helping)
Or either I will dislike it and go back to my forster trimming station.

Plugged it in, adjusting it like I can.
So far 3 brass casings scraped because of heavy burrs.
Will give an honest thumbs up or thumbs down once the tuning up process is over.

Appears to be a knockoff of the giraud.

Extreme gun shooting center apparently sells nothing but knock-offs.

I'll add this to The List:

XG PRS PRO chassis = XLR chassis
Xtreme Gun Kelbly Atlas Chassis/Stock Single Shot = Dolphin stock
XTREME GUN ARCA Single Plate = Grey Ops plates
GEAR BOX = Rempel bipod
GUN Saddle = Hog saddle
ALPHA rest = SEB Neo (they even say SEB Neo bags won't fit without modification. LoL)
Trimming station = Giraud trimmer

Yeah I noticed that too.
I’m usually one against knock offs, but since Giraud refuse to ship up North I want the Giraud efficiency.

Now the question is, is it any good?
Still fiddling with it as it’s heavily chewing brass.
I may have too much engagement, I backed it off quite a bit and going gradually.

As I mentioned in the Precision & Target Rifle thread, don't buy the "Gear Box"... it's a massive sh#t box.

As for their Dolphin stock knock off, I have a friend who thinks they are OK... but for an $100 I bought the real Dolphin from Wolverine.

I hope this trimmer works well for Marty! Keep us posited.

The cutter is a b**** to set in the right position on the giraud. And the collet is adjustable easily.with a lock ring. This appears to be missing tge lock ring? Possibly why your getting too much.

The case should land perfectly in the 'V' or centre of the cutting insert.

It does have a lock rings, the picture was pretty crappy.
I’ll try playing with the blade position.
Spent 2 hours on the unit and scraped 14 brass pieces.
10x fired lapua, not a big loss.

Sent them an email for some help to see if they will get involved.

Marty, are your heavy burrs on the outside by any chance?

I was getting that as well with a few test cases, but realized I was pushing way too hard on them.

Seems like it all it needs is a light push to get the job done, maybe holding it for about 2-3 seconds with a bit of a twist.

I'm thinking this is not a controlled item, you could have it shipped to a mail forwarder or one of the depots at the border for pickup. Just saying...

I get what you are saying, but time is not on my side.
Since the covid my work is getting way too much time in my life, I’d feel bad to complain since many had job losses.
If the trimmer doesn’t work out and someone wants to it for me for a premium I’d be in.

I’ll check blade orientation tonight, I had kept it the same way it came from factory, and I did double check Giraud instructions lacking instructions.

The Xtreme Gun trimmer rotates clockwise, while the Giraud rotates counter clockwise, so you'll need to flip the blade such that the flat face is opposite of the set screw as shown in Rookie{OMC}'s photo.

I'm not sure why it wasn't assembled that way to begin with.

I 100% confirm it was assembled backwards,
And also confirm 100% this was the solution to my problem.

Just trimmed 50 casings under 5 minutes, and they all came out beautifully.
Here I was thinking to myself... #### yeah this rocks!

Ordering my second unit, each unit will be dedicated to it’s caliber.
Less down time, as afterall time is more important than money for this current situation.
