I'm looking to buy a scope for my 870. i newly installed a Knoxx Specop stock and the The Knoxx manual recommends an eye relief of 3-4 inches. I was looking for the ELITE 3200 but the eye relief is 3.3 inches. The Banner series from Bushnell model 713947 3-9X40mm has an eye relief of 6 inches and is specially made ( they say...) for shotguns.

Is the Banner less quality then the Elite?? If so, will an occasional hunter see the difference??

Does some of you have a scope on a shotgun equiped with a specops stock??

Is the eye relief for a scpope is the same for all firearms its going to be mounted on??

The Banner is a lower quality scope than an Elite, but for use on a shotgun you are not likly to notice.
The other stuff I can not help you with.
Good luck!

scope

I have a circle x retical on my 1187 Turkey gun shoots 2 sighter's before season, shoots 2 turkey hopefully, put gun away,I have the same scope on my black powder 50 caliber Remington 4 or 5 sighter's, 2 deer hopefully, put gun away. They are $100.00 dollar scopes Bushnell Banner.I like the circle x for turkeys and the circle x for close shooting deer they are low power scopes.I have had both for approx 7 years?
The one on the turkey gun is original, the black powder scope would not hold its zero during the 3 season of use.Returned to Bushnell(Toronto) gave me a new one instantly. It has been perfect ever since. So 50/50 are your odds.I like them, they are low cost scopes, buy what you can afford, if you have more money buy something better,if not for the money they will work for you.I could buy a more expensive scope but the one on the turkey gun kills turkey and the one on the black powder gun kills deer so for me they are ok.Hope this helps
