Ezed xcr adapter

Am I missing something about the ACR fast stock? If your going to put an adaptor on why not use something that will give you a little more rigidity but still give you adjustability for different lengths of pull for different people. Like a collapsible stock with a magpul but stock or something? Or you looking for the side fold application?

What do you mean acr fast stock?

The xcr "fast" stock and ACR stock are very similair. The acr looks better built tho. He was just calling it "fast"

Precisely....so to my question if your looking for a better stock why not get an adaptor and go to a tube style collapsible stock like on pretty well any AR....sturdy as all hell

This what I've got on my XCR and it's light as all F&$@in hell.

How much do the acr stocks go for

Around $270 (not including taxes or shipping) I believe.

Very few folding adapters fit the XCR properly, other than ACE LTD, and I'm not sure if those would block the ejection port or get in the way where the FAST and ACR leave room in all areas for controls and ejection when firing folded. I believe that NEA and possibly Dlask made folding tube adapters, but those are OOP to my knowledge. If you don't desire a folder than what you have is optimal, otherwise if a folder is desired that brings us back to the original topic.

The reason people are looking to go with the ACR stock over the FAST is that the ACR stock deployed lockup is mechanical (button release) and the deployment from folded is quick and easy as it's only held by a detent. It also has internal storage (if that's your kind of thing), and generally fits people better as it's not so thin yet a similar weight to the FAST.

The main issue I still have with the FAST is the lockup for both folding and deployment. To deploy isn't as fast as the ACR stock as you need to squeeze the spring area (can be done one handed, but isn't nearly as fast and easy), and deployed lock up is held under spring tension. Once that spring starts to wear the FAST stock will fold under the weight of the rifle, recoil, or even shouldering too hard (yes I have personally experienced all of the above). The tension spring is something to keep a spare on hand and the be swapped out at signs of wearing.

Back to the topic of the OP, I've owned 2 Ezed ACR stock adapters (both sold) and there are some design issues to be addressed. The portion that mates to the XCR should curve into the rifle and blend to the form better, it's a fun range toy but in field practicality it's a snag happy adapter. A good polymer would shed some weight, my last XCR (gen prior to keymod, H or I gen I believe) tipped the scale at 9lbs 3 OZ unloaded with no optic and only irons, the rifle was otherwise bare of everything else even rail panels at the weigh in and factory stock other than the Ezed adapter and ACR stock.

A few design improvements to the adapter and shedding of weight would make for a good item.

That right there is perfect! Its that a magpul? Does it still fold?

It doesn't fold but I've had the stock folding stock before and honestly I just don't see the appeal. I out this on, not only would I not change a thing but I wouldn't go back. And yes it's magpul CTR

I'd be up for two if this gets going, but it would be nice to have some of the improved features mentioned earlier in the thread. Bushmaster USA has the ACR stock for $160 (US) so I can't imagine the markup would be that much more up here.
